What is PolyDrop?
PolyDrop codes are created by encrypting the 26-letter English alphabet into a base-five numeral system. The PolyDrop encryption starts by grouping the letters in order by fives. This allows each letter to be represented by a two digit number.
The first digit = The Group of 5
The second digit = The Order in that Group of 5
For example, the letters in the word “Ice” would be:
I = 2nd Group of 5, 4th Letter
C = 1st Group of 5, 3rd Letter
E = 1st Group of 5, 5th Letter
I = 24
C = 13
E = 15
To create a w5rd puzzle, PolyDrop “drops” the first digit representing the Group of 5.
I = 4
C = 3
E = 5
